We will be Painting these Awesome Pet Paw Mugs alongside friends and loved stones. Ages 16+ are encouraged to attend this paint party. Come experience the 45th Annual Tonkawa Powwow on June 27-30, 2019 at the Fort Oakland Reserve in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. The Tonkawa Powwow, an annual tribal celebration, feature Native American singing, dancing, contests, crafts, artwork and food. Dance contest styles include straight, fancy, traditional, cloth and buckskin categories. Free admission, free camping, along with electric and water hookups and free rations will be available.

Po-Hi Chorale members from across the U.S. are coming home to the brand new PCPS Concert Hall to perform a program that Mr. Moore has put together himself. Located at at Pioneer Park, Kaw Lake on the east side of Kaw City. Registration will begin at 8:00am, Mini Clinics will begin at 9:00 and fishing will begin at 10:00 to noon. Awards will be presented as soon as possible after fishing is completed. A hot dog lunch will be provided for the participants. Join us for the 36th Annual Kaw Nation Washunga Days Powwow on June 21-23, 2019 in the Dance Arbor at Allegawaha Park near Council Grove, Kansas. Each year, Kaw citizens make the trip to Council Grove from their homes in Oklahoma and elsewhere to be a part of this Kaw Nation Washunga Days Powwow celebration of the tribe’s historical heritage in the area. The Kaw Nation Washunga Days Powwow in Council Grove honors the last full-blooded Kaw chief, Washunga.

In 1994, the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska held its first annual Pow Wow after the Tribe’s federal reinstatement in 1990. The Tribe hosted its 25th Annual Pow Wow August 10-12, 2018 in Niobrara. Traditionally, Pow Wows were held as a celebration for fall harvest, successful hunts and for all births, deaths and weddings of tribal members during the past year. It was also a gathering place for other tribes, relatives and friends to meet and celebrate.

The 25th Annual Standing Bear Powwow in Ponca City will be held September 27-28, 2019 next to Standing Bear Park. The powwow is hosted by the six north-central tribes of Oklahoma the last Friday and Saturday of September each year. Standing Bear Powwow features inter-tribal dancing, exhibition dancing, contest dancing, tiny tot contests and the crowning of the Standing Bear Princess. Visitors will also find a variety of arts and craft vendors, along with a wide variety of food vendors.

Tallgrass Tour is a bike event benefiting the Marland Children's Home on September 28, 2019. Registration opens on March 1, 2019 and starts at $37.00. September 15, 2019 the prices go up to $42.00 to register, and on the day of, the prices for registration will be $45.00. Tandem riders are asked to register separately.
