Northern Oklahoma College Fine Arts Division offers a full array of music, art, theatre, and digital media opportunities, including the Roustabouts, a fully choreographed and costumed musical troupe performing an exciting show, and Concert Band, Jazz Band, College Choir, and Madrigal Singers concerts each semester.

Ponca City Art Center
The Ponca City Art Center is dedicated to enriching the cultural life in Ponca City by promoting and teaching the creation and appreciation of visual arts.The art center functions as an education center, providing art classes in many different mediums. It also coordinates and hosts many art exhibitions and events throughout the year, including the annual Ponca City Fine Arts Festival every September.
Ponca City Concert Hall
This new concert hall is an extension of Ponca City’s High School Campus and provides the music education program a much needed space for performances, contest preparation, and the ability to combine ensembles which is an important part of the education experience. The hall is uniquely designed for acoustic performances and will be the only one of its kind in the area. Seating 1200, the facility will accommodate large ensembles as well as solo and small group performances. Contemporary design elements and materials connect to the historic high school campus and sit comfortably in the beautiful War Memorial Park.
Ponca City Library and the Gordon Matzene Art Collection
This incredible collection is housed in the Ponca City Library. Richard Gordon Matzene, a well-known photographer and art dealer, donated a substantial part of his collection of American Western art and Oriental art to the library in the 1950’s. The priceless collection includes oils, charcoals, and water colors, as well as three-dimensional bronze and pottery pieces from the era of the boxer rebellion.
Opening night in 1958 ushered in a new era of live theatre for Ponca City – The Ponca Playhouse. Since then, the dedicated members and volunteers of the Playhouse have presented quality plays and entertainment, as well as garnering state and national recognition for excellence in Community Theater. The Playhouse presents five shows per season with special theatrical events. Enjoy the performing arts with the Ponca Playhouse.
The Poncan Theatre opened to a crowd of 1200 paying customers on September 20, 1927, at a cost of $280,000. Sound was installed in 1929, and through the years, the Poncan enjoyed the “golden era” of cinema. In 1985 the theatre was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. A million dollar restoration project was completed in 1994, with the Poncan restored to its original beauty. Today the Poncan Theatre is home to a large collection of priceless movie lobby art, as well as the Poncan Opry, The Evan’s Children’s Academy of Performing Arts and many musical and theatrical events throughout the year.

1920's Lobby Art
The Poncan Theatre can proudly claim the largest collection in the world of hand painted lobby art of the 1930's. During the early days of the motion picture industry, theatres employed their own graphic artists to create lobby art to promote upcoming films. These large one-of-a-kind paintings once graced the fronts and lobbies of movie palaces beckoning patrons to come see the stars of the day on the silver screen. Many of the great film legends of the 30's are represented in these colorful, larger-than-life paintings. This rare, unique exhibit is permanent part of the beautiful Poncan Theatre and a "must see" when visiting Ponca City. Another Ponca City exclusive.
Bryant Baker Studio
In 1928, millionaire Oklahoma oilman E. W. Marland sponsored a $100,000 competition to create a statue honoring pioneering women of the American Old West. Baker won the design competition, and in 1930 his 27-foot (8.2 m) high, 12,000 pounds (5,400 kg) statue, Pioneer Woman, was unveiled in Ponca City, Oklahoma. It became his best-known work. In 1957, Baker was elected into the National Academy of Design as an Associate member, and became a full member in 1959.
