The Poncan Theatre can proudly claim the largest collection in the world of hand painted lobby art of the 1930's. During the early days of the motion picture industry, theatres employed their own graphic artists to create lobby art to promote upcoming films. These large one-of-a-kind paintings once graced the fronts and lobbies of movie palaces beckoning patrons to come see the stars of the day on the silver screen. Many of the great film legends of the 30's are represented in these colorful, larger-than-life paintings. This rare, unique exhibit is permanent part of the beautiful Poncan Theatre and a "must see" when visiting Ponca City. Another Ponca City exclusive.
